In just three months time, CovCare has quickly chalked-up a number of success stories and helped solve the shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the United States by becoming one of the fastest growing medical supplies and logistics companies to date thanks to pivoting their business model amid COVID-19.

For those who have followed the work being done at CovCare since early March, they’ve seen a steady transformation right before their very eyes on how a start-up company can survive and thrive in the face of a global health emergency.

The ingredients to allow CovCare to make a difference in their field and emerge as a fast growing brand centered on medical supplies and logistics has been a steady mix of building a strong sales team, implementing a solid marketing strategy, securing extensive PPE product, delivering to those in need, and sharing the success stories along the way. Three months later, the dedicated and hard work to ensure healthcare professionals, essential workers, and the general public are protected during the spread of COVID-19 only grows stronger.

Here’s a look at 7 ways CovCare has made an impact throughout the Coronavirus pandemic…

1. From Customizing Sports Uniforms To Manufacturing PPE

Over the course of the last six years, Wooter Apparel has outfitted a virtual who’s-who within the sports world and around the globe. Not only have they designed and created some of the most unique and colorful jerseys and uniforms for youth, recreational, and college teams, but Wooter Apparel has developed collaborations by teaming-up with the likes of boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather, hip-hop icon Master P, the NFL Alumni Association, Terrell Owens, Chad “Ochocino” Johnson, and most recently with former NBA vets Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes for their acclaimed “All The Smoke” video podcast on Showtime Sports. While partnering with athletes, teams, and leagues was temporarily postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Wooter Apparel (along with GameBreaker) showed their strong business prowess by quickly pivoting to manufacturing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) back in early March. Adjusting their personal and business aspirations to launch CovCare not only helped keep their overall companies intact, but allowed the new medical supplies and logistics company to protect thousands of healthcare professionals and essential workers as a result.

2. Streamlining The Supply Chain Process From China

Needless to say, China tightening restrictions on exports of medical supplies and other PPE made for an extremely chaotic situation not only overseas but in the United States as well as  the General Administration of Customs had officials in China meticulously examine each and every item slated to be shipped out. While China’s quality control was effective in preventing counterfeit medical supplies from hitting the open market, “Announcement 53” ushered in contradictions and confusion along the way. Whereas the documents needed for exporting medical materials were both lengthy and required, declaring  “truthful declaration” became a saving grace for exporting legitimate PPE products from China and allowed CovCare to achieve worry-free shipping and receiving of medical supplies. CovCare managed to successfully receive multiple air shipments from China with 1.5 million masks arriving in mid-April, followed by 1 million disposable 3-play masks, and 500,000 medical gowns and face shields from manufacturers. For a company that two months ago made the pivot from sports apparel and protective headgear to medical supplies, this says a lot about CovCare’s ability to maintain relationships, work around the clock, overcome early shipping challenges, and take precautions in securing medical supplies from within China.

3. Partnering With Hospitals And Organizations On Donations To Protect Healthcare Professionals And Essential Workers

One of the first examples of CovCare (by way of Wooter Apparel) making a direct impact in their community in Staten Island during the Coronavirus pandemic came from creating awareness and supporting nonprofit organization, PROJECT PROTECT. The outreach efforts only grew from there, beginning in New York and extending to California and across the United States.  Along with outfitting frontline staff members fighting COVID-19 at Montefiore Medical Center, Mount Sinai, Staten Island University Hospital, the New York State Nurses Association, Houston Methodist, the U.S. Department of Defense, Steward Health Care, Sentara Healthcare, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, Highlands Hospital, and the Fort Lee Police Department (New Jersey) among other hospitals and organizations, CovCare has donated over $200,000 worth of PPE supplies to healthcare and essential workers across in March and April. Most recently, CovCare donated 1,600 masks to Rideshare Drivers United, a non-profit organization supporting Uber and Lyft Drivers rights, as volunteers distributed hundreds of masks and gloves to needy drivers in San Francisco, Oakland, San Diego, and Los Angeles. The list of hospitals, care centers, businesses, and organizations only continues to grow as CovCare remains focused on protecting those in need and assisting with PPE donations.

4. Putting An End To PPE Price Gouging

Price gouging of essential items like face masks, hand sanitizer, and even toilet paper during the Coronavirus outbreak has dominated headlines across the United States unfortunately. This caused the Attorney General in some States to issue an emergency regulation to prohibit price gouging of essential products and services as the public health emergency raged on. Yet as hospitals and consumers were faced with skyrocketing prices, the trend within the PPE market hasn’t deterred some companies from inflating costs by marking up KN95 masks, N95 masks, and 3-ply disposable masks for example. While prices for KN95 masks have been listed online between $10 - $3 a piece, CovCare carries CE certified KN95 masks for as low as $1.90 a piece. For N95 masks that have been listed upwards of $18 dollars to $11 dollars a piece, CovCare provides NIOSH certified masks at only $6.15 a piece. The savings only go on from there for CovCare: 3-ply disposable civil masks (.35 cents a piece) and 3-ply disposable medical masks (.57 cents a piece) once again shows that slashing prices on their extensive medical supplies and putting an end to price gouging of PPE has become CovCare’s calling card.

5. Enhancing The Tech Experience During COVID-19

When Wooter Apparel and GameBreaker teamed-up to power CovCare, the two renowned sports businesses went from creating customized athletic apparel and contact-sports headgear to helping solve the shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) around the world amid the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic. By partnering with manufacturers in China and streamlining a strict supply chain process, CovCare quickly emerged as a fast-growing medical supplies and logistics company thanks to the ability to enhance the overall tech experience for healthcare professionals and everyday citizens alike. The strategy for CovCare was two-fold: to ensure shopping for medical supplies and healthcare equipment for hospitals and long-term care facilities ran efficiently in the “new normal” and also to give those people who were suddenly faced with a job loss the opportunity to earn some income. As part of developing their easy-to-use website, CovCare created a marketplace for medical suppliers to get involved in ordering PPE products including certified N95 masks, K9N5 masks, 3-ply disposable masks, disposable gloves, face shields, medical gowns and other medical supplies. CovCare also developed an online platform for individuals to take part in the company’s affiliate program, which has proven to be a safe haven for those who were faced with a job loss and were searching for ways to make generate an income as the Coronavirus attributed to 36 million unemployment claims in the United States after the past two months according to the New York Times.

6. Affiliate Program Provides Opportunity To Become Part Of The CovCare Team

With CovCare creating platforms that enhance the tech experience over the course of the Coronavirus pandemic, the company’s Affiliate Program has been one of the biggest wins for CovCare. Those who sign-up for the Affiliate Program can earn 10% on every sale they refer to CovCare’s official website and up to 5% extra referral commission by simply inviting potential customers to CovCare. There is also a chance to earn a monthly bonus when milestones are reached. Once they have signed-up, the new affiliate will receive access to CovCare’s custom referral information, their own dashboard, and be provided with marketing materials like banners and text links that can be used to promote CovCare. In an effort to ease the strains and worries caused by the soaring unemployment rate in the U.S. due to COVID-19, CovCare’s Affiliate Program remains the perfect way to navigate this unprecedented time by supplementing income and helping save lives by teaming-up with CovCare.

7. The Latest Updates And News On Social Media Channels And The Official CovCare Blog

One of the first goals by CovCare in addition to solving the shortage of PPE in the United States and protecting those people on the frontlines battling the Coronavirus, was to be able to share our story throughout these trying times about how two U.S. start-ups have delivered millions of masks a month to those in need during COVID-19.. By creating our CovCare social media channels and engagement on Instagram and Twitter, we were able to keep the general public, CovCare customers, and valued partners informed and educated on the latest news with CovCare and COVID-19. That content plan rolls on. The CovCare blog has featured weekly original content, newsworthy recaps, stories within our own communities, and updates on CovCare making headlines with media outlets like USA Today, Yahoo!, MarketWatch, The Techly, HYPER Magazine, and others. It’s yet another example of how CovCare has made a lasting impact throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. In the end, our story has become your story.
